It is always fun to plan a trip and look forward to something isn’t it? I love counting down the weeks and days til my next big adventure. I also love planning for it.
It is so much fun. If you can’t think of the next place you’d like to go, here are some great ideas for you to think about.
Great Vacation Spot Ideas:
- Florida is great in January and February
- Colorado is awesome for outdoor lovers
- New Mexico has the iconic Balloon Festival
- South Carolina is amazing for history buffs
- Las Vegas is fun for shows and gamblers
Here are a few ideas I have for you to think about.
How about Florida in January or February.
The weather is glorious and the beaches plentiful. There are many fun things to do in Florida. You have the ocean and beaches, shopping, dining and Art Fairs and Festivals. Coconut Grove Arts Festival is a fun time. It is near Miami and Ft. Lauderdale. Both Cities have so much to offer. Ft. Lauderdale has several fun happy hour places to enjoy on the water. Be sure to hit the Blue Martini and Shooters.

Do you like St. Patrick’s Day? Many cities made the top 10 list for best parade and festivities. Chicago and Kansas City, Savannah and San Francisco just to name a few. It can be fun to pick a new city to visit and explore. I’m thinking of Chicago for next year’s St. Patrick’s Day.
Love the outdoors? Colorado is a fun state with many fun towns. How about visiting Durango or Salida. They both offer lots of outdoor activities among many other fun things to do and see. I love Durango’s fun downtown, they have eclectic and charming shops, Art Galleries and wonderful bars and restaurants. It’s a great college town. Salida is a fun place as well and has a surprisingly fun area where you can relax, grab a bite or a cocktail and watch rafters and tubers go by. Next time I go, I will definitely tube down the river.
History Buff, how about visiting Charleston, SC. Lots of history, attractions and museums. I recently visited Charleston and was very impressed. How about Albuquerque, New Mexico. They have the coolest Balloon Festival every year, this year it runs October 1-9th. It is truly an amazing spectacle.

Like a great party, then you must go to New Orleans and Las Vegas. I love New Orleans in the day time, have a drink with friends and listen to all the great music along Bourbon Street in the French Quarter. I love Las Vegas at night with all the lights. Walk the strip, take in a show, and roll the dice.

Whether you like history, a party, exploring the countryside or splashing in the water, make this year the year to visit some place new. So get out there and cross something and some place off your Bucket List.
