There is lots of fun to be had in Bend, Oregon. I understand why people like to live here. I’ve been here 10 days and every single day is beautiful. The skies are blue, the humidity is low, it hasn’t reached 90 in July (yet). And when it does, you get in a tube and float down the Deschutes River.

We saw some more breathtaking beautiful sights the other day. Lava Butte, which is a flank of the Newberry National Volcanic Monument. It is a large preserve that covers 30 miles of the Deschutes National Forest.

We then drove about 40 miles to see Paulina Peak. The road to get to the Peak isn’t paved, but the view is worth the effort of getting to the top.

Then we went to see Paulina Falls

It was a gorgeous, fun filled day.Tomorrow is supposed to be a little warmer, so we will head out early to see some Falls near Sisters, Oregon, then get back in the heat of the day to Float down the Deschutes River.
